MEMBERSHIP IN CESBAThe Ontario Association of Adult and Continuing Education School Board Administrators (CESBA) is a non-profit corporation registered in Ontario. Any individual who is interested in supporting CESBA's mission to promote and advance the cause of Adult and Continuing Education is welcome to join us. Most CESBA members hold leadership positions in adult and continuing education programs offered by school boards in Ontario. Usually people join CESBA, in conjunction with the registration process for one of the two CESBA Conferences held in the spring and fall of each year. Membership forms are available here: MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION DEMANDE D’ADHÉSION CESBA members:1. Have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting, usually held on the Friday morning of the Spring Conference. (election of officers and board members, adoption of annual reports, resolutions, etc.) 2. Are eligible to serve on and participate in the work of CESBA Committees.
3. Receive regular updates from the Executive Director on the tracking of issues & actions identified at the annual meeting colloquims. 4. Receive notices of upcoming colloquims, meetings and events related to adult and continuing education. Colloquims afford members the opportunity to network with colleagues, hear about leading-edge developments and problem-solve important challenges on key issues in a collaborative format. 5. Are kept abreast of changes and developments that affect adult and continuing education. The CESBA Executive Director remains in close contact with key government decision-makers from several ministries and departments. Late breaking developments and ongoing consultations are shared with members. 6. Can influence the direction of policy developments related to adult and continuing education by keeping informed and participating in the process. |
