Families in poverty are often in survival mode and their teenage children grow up to believe that the future holds no promise as support systems taken for granted in middle class do not exist for them. This workshop has been designed for educators of Alternative Education programs who teach youth who are frequently disadvantaged backgrounds. It will build a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by your students and will help you partner with their families to create opportunities for success.
