CESBA Website Review

This presentation began with a brief history into the development of the new CESBA website including the results from the environmental scan and feasibility study conducted in April 2010 prior to its construction during the winter of 2010. Key elements were discussed including: content, functional and qualitative elements.

The advantages of the Content Management System chosen (Joomla!) were outlined in order to provide workshop participants with an understanding of how the workflow will be accomplished – the ability to have multiple writers and different access rules for different users will provide committee chairs with the opportunity to update their own sections of the site.

The website demo included a description of the website structure, the content that is currently available and information on how to access information.

Finally, participants broke into 2 groups to discuss the following questions:

1. What resources would you like to see posted on the CESBA website that are not currently available?
2. As the CESBA website committee plans the next steps for the website, what additional functionality should be considered?

The results of the presentations will be shared with the CESBA website committee.
